Matador Ottoman
Living in Spain one inevitably learns to appreciate the art of bullfighting.
The matador is an athlete with tremendous valor, skills and ballerina movements.
This piece was born from such memories.
The perfectly shaped tight buttocks which the matador exhibits when brandishing
his cape is captured by the back of the piece.
The considerable "cojones" required to challenge a furious and deadly bull
are suggested in the trademark crotch in the front of the ottoman.

Centaur Tabouret
A domesticated mythical centaur for your den. This sturdy accent piece begs the question, “do I ride it or put it under glass too keep it from running away.. The Centaur Ottoman is timeless and evokes many questions. From Picasso to Greek metaphysics of self-realization the referenced mythical deity has been the object study and attention. The placement of the Centaur in your livingroom, the vanity in your bathroom or bedroom will proclaim your self confidence. Design Notes: Pablo Picasso is one of our heros. The moment we first saw his Minotaur drawings, the inspiration of this piece, is still fresh in our memory. Like the source of Picasso’s creation, our Centaur elicits passionate reactions. Some love it, some are in awe and others react with fear. Achieving a piece capable of evoking such strong and conflicting emotions is a designer's dream. Construction Notes: This carver's tour de force requires many days of meticulous work. The tabouret is made of aromatic cedar, its cushion upholstered with distressed horse leather. Dimensions: 27" width x 19" heightProduct details...
Mangrove Chair
This chair was done to complement our a figurative hand forged metal mangrove table. It is petit and easy to accommodate in any corner. The oval shape back was drawn when the forger ask me how I wanted the oval. Surprisingly he reproduced my sketch exactly as I had traced it, including the my signature traces outside the oval. When he showed me his work we laughed but liked it . My traces gave a perfect niche for the bird. Construction Notes: The back is one piece from top to bottom. So it is has a very strong of structure. The seat has a 3 inch high quality foam rubber sponge for comfort.Product details...

Rope Chair
This is one of my favorites. It is tropical yet it can fit in any decor. It is traditional because of the carving yet shows slick, modern lines. The best design craftsmanship detail of this chair is in the way the veined skirt goes around the legs. The dining table which partners this chair has this same detail but in a larger scale. The form of the leg was inspired in the shape of the classic Greek anfora vase. The leg rope carving has proportion and fluidity. The chair’s back is lineal, straight and simple making the uncarved back legs and skirt the contrast needed for balancing the intricate work of the piece. Dimensions: 41'h x 20"w x 20"d Seat Height: 21"hProduct details...

British Sofa
One of our favorites, the piece draws from the classical lines and legs which were originally designed for Lord Ashford when India was still a part of Her Majesty’s realm. Our version is more contemporary in its lines however it keeps the carving, exposed wood structure and bronze tacks of the original thus retaining its classical flavor. The sofa comes upholstered in distressed leather for an old money look or in a vintage design textile. Construction Notes: The solid mahogany structure of the sofa is constructed from 1 ½ inch to 3 inch doweled pieces. The cushions are assembled with 2 inch top quality foam rubber stuffed with hypoalergenic polyester fill. We can also stuff the cushions with goose down for those with this luxurious preference. The back cushions are 9 inch thick for extraordinary comfort and head rest . Dimensions: 90" length x 30" height x 39" depthProduct details...
