Orchid Table
This piece is a unique piece in a sense that it reminds us of art nouveau, yet it is not .
Its legs have the shape of deers legs yet they are thoroughly modern.
And the top has carved orchids which give it a very feminine touch.
Yet when you look you can’t place her in any style.
And that’s the mystery which makes me like it.
Construction Notes:
The four corners of the skirt and its legs of the table are all joined in a 45 degree angle fit.
The frame is square and in the interior is oval.
The oval is the frame that holds a oval beveled glass .
There are three orchids carved in each of the four corners.
The skirt also has carved cut-out orchids.
To get the deer like legs, whose top are hollowed inside,
our carver has to do his magic in all four of them.

Autumn Wreath Chandelier
The yin of Spring & the yang of Fall light your life. This lamp is inspired by the pre- Christian tradition of the Advent Wreath, famous for the golden colors of the fall leaves used in their construction. The original were assembled by gathering and shaping young evergreen branches into circular forms representing the cycles of nature and thus the hope of their makers for an early spring. Construction Notes: The chandelier is made from one hollow iron rod which was hand forged to form the base for the lights and conduit for its electrical wires. The solid smaller rod forming the wreath's spiral cylinder is also one piece which was hand fired and shaped The hand cut leaves with hammered veins have a golden tone at the edge to evoke the turned tips of fall. Ashford Oval Extension Table
This mansion sized dining table takes its named after Lord Ashford from the fluted leg carvings originally designed for him in India. We called it oval because to comfortably give ample elbow room to 14 guests, an oval half moon is attached at each end of the table. Many extension tables spend most of the year un-extended. And we rather not weaken a lovingly built top by cutting it in half. Plus the home of the tableâs commissioner was being built near a salty air environment which to us ruled out metal hardware extensions. So we designed the half moon extensions to fit and lock into the skirts at the ends of the table while robustly supported two wood beams which disappear when not in use.
