A great way to add a bit of personalization to your holiday table setting is to pay attention to detail. Here are some great ideas for your family gathering form Country Living. Instead of the tradition table place card take this idea of wrapping a handwritten piece of ribbon around the wine goblets saying why you are thankful for each guest.

Don’t have the time to get that fancy then go traditional; its a tradition for a reason. Beautiful handcrafted papers and designer table cards are always in style and if you have good handwriting then all the better. For a more economical solution purchase blank business cards from the nearest office supply store and type up the place card using a fun graphic you find online.

For those who have a little bit more time on your hands or friends who are willing to help can use stamps to personalize each place setting’s napkin. This is a great way to jazz up paper napkins too, even if you only do the initials to make it a bit easier and less time consuming. Check out your nearest craft stores for stamps and ink. Even choosing a maple leaf or pumpkin stamp is a nice way to personalize something that is so utilitarian.

This is my favorite idea. By using fresh pears, pumpkins, gourds, apples and pomegranates not only are you making something personal but it is edible as well. Even if your guest are to full on turkey, after dinner combine the fruit and place them in a nice dish or bowl to make a nice centerpiece for the rest of the evening.
