The solution illustrates the many ways the bentwood ottoman can be used as an eating surface. It is thin enough to fit between the seams of each modular unit. As stated before, these modular cushions can be placed in many configurations within the frame, adapting to the needs of busy college students. When eating, college students are typically studying, watching TV., or on their computers.

[...] December 28, 2009 by harringtonblog Congratulations to all who participated in the 2009 Eating and Seating Challenge! The Eating & Seating Challenge is a dynamic competition in which Harrington College of Design Interior Design students are challenged to rethink and reinvent the furniture we use every day. After defining current seating and dining trends, each contestant designed a solution in response to the new trends. With Mig and Tig of Chicago and Mortise and Tenon of Los Angeles as clients, and very real awards at the end of the competition, this challenge was an opportunity for Harrington students to show what they can do, and the results were stunning! In the meantime, you can see more pictures from the competition here and here. [...]
Thank you for your post Amber. We look forward to hosting more exciting challenges and sharing Harrington Student work with the Furniture Industry!
